tomorrow I'm going to Kroger's with my sister. I'm looking forward to the trip i haven't been to the grocery since the 18Th, other than one trip with my sister to try and help her learn how to use coupons.

dad surgery

dad surgery went great. He wanted to know if he could play the mandolin. They asked him how long he had played he said he didn't he just wanted to know if he would get that gift after the surgery. lol: We were able to be there and spend some time with him afterwards. You would think the way he carries on that he wasn't 75 but 25. He's the greatest.

Dad is having surgery Thursday on his wrist. I will be there with him and mom. Thank goodness it will be only 7 miles away from our home. I will be able to go any time I want to and see him. Mom and Dad were here in town to do the pre opt, but they weren't able to come out we did get to talk on the cell I love to hear they're voice.

My daugther and tried to change the layout and add a new template. well we did, but we lost all the work I had put into it in the first place. Now we are back to the first one I've still not been able to get everything back the way it was.

coupon maddness

Yesterday was busy between cleaning, cooking and couponing. First thing was to get coupons that took two hours head first in a recycle bend, but it was worth it. after i clean the house . I put the circulars to gather, and stapling the individual coupons to cut out. It was 5pm before we were done. that was a lot of coupons. I was to tired to even blog about it.

Our next stop was walgreens for pepsi cola products: 3 for $10.00. I also could get a free diet pepsi with the pruchase of 3-12 packs. This is really great because i got two free packs of diet pepsi when i bought 6-12 packs. then i had 2 bogos so there was two more 12 packs free making it $14.00 for the 8 packs. great so far. Shick razors were $8.99 with a walgreens coupon for $4.00 off making it $4.99.. guess what!? i also have a $4.00 of coupon for shick razors making it $.99. i was able to get 2 shick razors at that price. The next item was band aid products for $2.99 with a coupon for $1.00 making it $1.99. next was bikinie razor bogo at $2.99 with a instore coupon for $2.00 making them $.99 each..I bought two of these. then I got 2 shaving cremes at $1.99 and coupon for a $1.00 off each making them $.99. my gand total was $22.42 a savings of $54.20 i'm on top of the world

the second transaction was for clearance items that I had coupons for. A nivea travel kit $4.88 i had $1.00 off coupon making it $3.88. then a bottle of clean and clear at $2.24, with a coupon for $2.00 off. making it $.24: thats great so far! next was a bottle of jergens natural glow moisturizer for $2.98 with a coupon for $1.oo off making it $1.98. the next item was a 4 pack of crest tooth paste for $2.o9, and a coupon for $1.00 off making it $1.09. Then I used my $5.00 gift card making the total $9.34 HA maybe i miss understood.. no. I looked at the ticket when we got to the car low and behold: they have charged me $7.94 for the jergens and $4.29 for the clean and clear. I grab the items and my ticket and back to customer service i go. They asked where i got the items. I told them from a end cap with clearance items on it. They say these items are not on clearance. Well i tell them there are more of the same items with the same clearaence prices there. so anyway they give me a refund of $7.34 making my grand total $2.00. Now thats more like it.

to much fun

yesterday was great: my husband, son and grandson went to the monster truck jam in lexington kentucky. They had a great time. my daughter in-law and i had even a better time going of to couponing heaven. first to target. (thanks to jamie "I am a money magnet"). I always read jamie's blog! she said that target was having a deal on razors: buy two intuitions get a $5.oo target giftcard free. that's just what i did. I also had two $4.00 off coupons. making my total $13.54.I forgot that i also got a small first aid kit on this order. it was $.97
